Skate Update

Our tradeshow this year will be October 5 and 6 (Sunday and Monday) here at our Roanoke, VA warehouse. This is a great chance for you to meet with many of the vendors that are involved in the skating business as well as other rink operators. We’ll have more details soon, but if you’re interested in attending please mark these two days on your calendar now.

Summer is a great time to work on your rental skate maintenance. A lot of rinks have expanded hours during the summer, but the sessions aren’t as busy. So you might have employees that are looking for things to do. Make sure that your skates are a good “ambassador” for your rink, fix anything that might need fixing, replace anything that needs replacing, and ensure that your rentals are ready for the upcoming fall season.

Summer is also a good time to look over the posters in your rink. We’re always surprised to see posters promoting skates that are no longer available. We have plenty of free posters available, if you would like some please ask when you place your next order.

Always skate smart. Use appropriate protective gear. If you're not an experienced skater then learn to skate indoors at a roller skating rink. It's a flat and smooth surface with no traffic to deal with. Take lessons.
