Here are some notes from the RSA Convention. Keep in mind that most of these items are not going to be available until the fall, we may not have pricing info, and details will probably change.
Roller Derby is coming out with lighted laces. These are laces with 12 LED lights built into each lace. They’re water resistant, batteries are included, and they have three different settings (flashing, slow flashing, always on). They come in 45 inch or 36 inch lengths. Choose from green, yellow, orange, or red. Best of all, the laces should be in stock very soon.
Sure-Grip and Roller Derby are both working on light up skates. Sure-Grip’s skate has LED lights build into the sole of the shoe. Roller Derby’s version is built into the plate.
Sure-Grip showed a new quad speed skate called the Cyclone. It will come in black, pink, blue, or purple and in sizes 4-10.
Sure-Grip also showed a new entry level quad art skate called the Malibu.
