Skate Update – Bags, Skates, More skate shaped bags, new skates, black and pink GTX-500

The Chicago Skate Shape Bags are now back in stock.  This is a lower priced bag with an attractive skate design printed on the bag.  They’re available in pink or blue.

We carry a full line of New Year’s Eve party supplies.  Balloons, noisemakers, blowouts, etc.  We also have pre-assembled packs of party kits with a nice assortment of party supplies.  New Year’s Eve is just a few weeks away, please order these soon to make sure they arrive on time.

We received some more of the Q60 inline skates.  Sizes 9, 10, 11, and 12 are now back in stock.

Christmas and New Year’s Day are both on a Sunday this year.  Southeastern Skate will be closed on the Monday after both holidays to allow our employees to spend time with their families.

Skate Update – Roller Derby Shipment and New Vanilla Mint and Royalty now in stock

We received a good shipment from Roller Derby this week.  We now have the following back in stock:
Candi Girl – everything except the U772 Rewind (solid black) sz 6
Stinger – boys and girls, small and medium
Ion – boys and girls, small and medium
Stryde – boys and girls, small and medium

The Vanilla Junior has two new color choices.  The Mint is a light mint green color.  The Royalty is a deep red, with gold highlights.  Both of these skates are in stock now.

Vanilla also has a new boot, the Freestyle Anniversary.  This is a light blue color, and is a tribute to their very first boot, which some of you may remember.  This is also in stock now.

We also have two new shoe care products available.  The first is called the Gear Bomb and it is a pair of small balls.  You pull the balls apart to release an odor fighting material, then you put them down inside your skates to soak up any foot odor that might be accumulating.

The second is Shoe Goo.  This is a tube of material that can be used to repair or protect older boots.

We recently did a big list of post-tradeshow closeout specials.  If you haven’t received a copy of this flyer yet, please ask for one with your next order.

October Is About More Than Pumpkins

pumpkinsWhen you think of the month of October you may think of things like pumpkins, ghosts, haunted houses, candy, parties, costumes and more; but what else does October mean? National Roller Skating Month! That’s right, ever since October of 1983, our nation has honored roller skating during the month of October, so why not celebrate with some new skates from Southeastern Skate Supply?

National Roller Skating Month was established in 1983 by President Ronald Reagan. He declared this month to remind families of the benefits of roller skating including a safe place to have fun with your family while getting fit, too!

In today’s world, many people are plugged into electronics (cell phones, laptops, computers, tablets, TVs, etc.), so it’s always refreshing to disconnect from the World Wide Web and partake in some quality fun with family and friends, and getting in some fitness fun is always a bonus! Not to mention, with the cool fall temperatures settling in, October is a great time to bring the fun inside, so why not head to your local roller skating rink?

New Vanilla and Shoe Repair great skate supplies in stock

New From Vanilla

 

We’re expecting a new shipment from Vanilla very soon.  We’ll be getting several new skates from them.

 

There will be two new designs for the Vanilla Junior package.  The Junior Royalty has a deep dark shade of red boot, with a gold tongue.  The Junior Mint is a light mint green shade.  Both of these come in sizes 3-12 and are the same price as the other Vanilla Junior skates.

They’re also doing an Anniversary version of their Freestyle boot in a light blue color.  If you remember back to when Vanilla first started, this was the color scheme they used on their very first batch of boots.  This one comes in sizes 6-13 and is the same price as the other Vanilla Freestyle boots.

Each of these are on a shipment from Vanilla that should be here by October 17.  Each of these are being called limited editions, so get them quick if you’re interested.

 

 

Shoe Maintenance

We’re also now carrying a couple of new skate maintenance items.

 

Gear Bombs are small balls that you insert into your skates.  You pull the “bomb” apart, and it releases an odor fighting mist right into the boots.  They come in pairs, one for each foot.

 

Shoe Goo is a material that helps protect shoes from damage and wear.  It comes in a 3.7 ounce tube.

profitWas business slow at the rink this summer? Are you looking to bring more revenue? Check out two ways our team at Southeastern Skate Supply says you can bring more profit into your facility.

Special events

Create cool themed skate sessions to add to your regular schedule, or give one of your open skate sessions and give it a theme like Kids Skate, Teen Skate or even Adult Skate (18+). Other popular themes include 80s Skate. The key to making the special skate sessions fun is keeping up with a current trend. For example, when people were raving about the Pokemon Go game, having a Pokemon themed skate session would’ve been perfect. This could be an area that offers great potential results if executed correctly so don’t be afraid to be creative and trendy.

Fundraisers

Renting your facility out to a group or organization for special events like fundraisers she a great way to bring in extra revenue. You charge a certain price to have the group rent out your facility while also bringing in a percentage of the profit made by the fundraiser. However you’d like to work things out with the customer is up to you, but opening up your facility is a sure way to bring in extra profit because, I mean, who doesn’t love to skate?

Whether it be from special events or fundraisers, you’ll be able to maximize the amount of profit you’re seeing at your rink by implementing either of these suggestions.

Sure-Grip Malibu and Skate Shaped Bags both in stock now

Chicago Skate Shaped Bags

The Chicago Skate Shaped Bags are now available again.  These were big sellers a few years ago, then were discontinued.  These are great bags for the price, with an attractive quad skate design on the side of the bag.

 

These are NOT big enough for larger inline skates.  But they’re great for quads, especially for younger skaters that will like the design.  They’re vinyl, with a zipper and carrying straps.  They come in blue or pink.

Sure-Grip Malibu Skate

The Sure-Grip Malibu skates are now in stock.  This is an entry level quad high top skate with indoor/outdoor wheels.  The boots are leather lined with stitched soles.  The plates are Probe.  Sure-Grip is using “The California Skate Co” as the brand for this skate, to differentiate it from Sure-Grip’s main line and to appeal to kids that like the California lifestyle.  This looks like it could be a great beginner skate and help to fill the void created when Dominion closed.

 

Right now we have black sizes 4-12 and white sizes 4-10 in stock, but it looks like they’ll offer sizes down to a 1 in both colors.
